3rd Mutton Haslets Pot Festival in Cangqian

Cangqian is famous for its mutton in 100 years, normally when a family sells out the mutton, they will keep the heads, feet and haslets which can not sell at a good price for themselves, if they can not finish by themselves, they will invite neighbours, relatives and friends to eat together, drinking, "scooping" the haslets out to eat while it is being cooked in a pot by the table. The "scoop" has two meanings here, one is to draw the intestines from the sheep’s belly, the other is to scoop out the haslets from the pot on the fire.

A visit to XiHuTianDi near the West Lake will give you an idea of how popular and how fierce the market for coffee is, and that’s the reason i hardly go to XiHuTianDi anymore. There are just too many coffee houses in one spot and it’s kind of like XinTianDi in ShangHai. LV bags, nouveau riche, Gucci coo-girls trying to show their love for something they probably know little about.

Hangzhou Public Bike Map

Get your Bike Rental Card(type Z)
Take your lawful certificate like passport, temporary residence permit (for expats), then pay 300 yuan at least (200 as the deposit and 100 as pre-paid rental fee, so if the balance is close to 200, please deposit 50 yuan or more into your account) to get a Public Bike Rental Card (type Z).
You could get the card at Longxiangqiao bus terminal, and those near the West Lake.

Lin’an Zhinan Village

There are gentle hillsides around and a pool in front of the village, in late autumn, the leaves on the gingko tree will completely turn yellow, there could be a good place to enjoy the view of gingko tree. What is more, beside the yellow of gingko leaves, there are also red of maple leaves. There’re nearly 300 old tree whose age is over 200 years old. And there are 8 old maple trees are at the age of 800-1000 years old. In autumn these red leaves are flaming around the village like fire.
